Botulinum is a protein and is produced by a special strain of the rod-shaped bacterium Clostridium botulinum under anaerobic conditions. The medically used botulinum is produced in a very complex process by a few well-known companies in Germany, Ireland and the USA. Wrinkle treatment with botulinum is performed on an outpatient basis.

The substance is injected into the desired muscle area by the doctor using a fine needle. The treatment, including consultation, takes about half an hour. With both procedures, it takes 8-12 weeks for the process to complete. Androgenetic alopecia is a genetically determined hypersensitivity of the hair roots to male hormones (androgens) and to its precursor DHT (dihydrotestosterone). The levels of testosterone and also DHT in the blood do not always reflect their content on the hair roots.

On the basis of androgenetic alopecia, additional stress factors, such as occupational or private stress, childbirth, menopause and other stressors, cause a strong, permanent tension of the head muscles.

This tension reduces the supply of blood, oxygen and nutrients to the hair root cell to such an extent that normal biological processes can no longer function completely. DHT is stored. The hair root becomes keratinized. The hair falls out. As such it leads to a clearing of certain areas, sporadically or over longer periods. Cryolipolysis – Non-operative fat cell treatment by cold

Cryolipolysis is a non-invasive treatment that treats local fat deposits with targeted cold. The original US method has been used for many years, especially in aesthetics. Mesotherapy refers to the very small amounts of active substances that are injected into the most superficial layer of the skin. This may be hyaluronic acid (uncrosslinked or minimally crosslinked), but also vitamin cocktails or PRP (platelet-rich plasma). The skin reacts to the minor injuries with collagen synthesis on the one hand, whilst on the other hand the introduced active ingredients increase the resilience and skin vitality with a reduction of the smallest wrinkles. For minimally cross-linked hyaluronic acids (for example

from the supplier Juvederm, you can expect a result after the treatment that lasts up to 8 months. Mesotherapy can also be used in the scalp area. There, too, vitamins or PRP (platelet-rich plasma) are injected, in this case to stimulate hair growth. The PRP contains the body’s own growth factors that can reactivate the hair roots. As a booster, it is recommended to perform at least 3 treatments at intervals of 1 month.

Scarring can be psychologically stressful and stigmatizing for those affected, sometimes also leading to functional limitations. When the skin of the upper eyelids approaches the eyelashes, it is referred to as “slip-eyelids” – these may be more or less pronounced. In extreme cases, they can restrict the field of vision. It then becomes a case for an ophthalmologist and / or a surgeon. As long as this is not neccessary, a non-operative improvement is possible.
